New Schecter PT Special. Originally a custom model, the PT was inspired by the Schecter guitar Pete Townshend played onstage between 1979 and 1988. Now re-badged as the PT Special and available to a much wider spectrum of musicians as part of the factory-produced Diamond Series…

The Schecter PT Special features a body made of Swamp Ash and the classic combination of bolt-on Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard (on the Black Pearl) or Maple on the 3-Tone Sunburst. Dual Schecter Diamond pickups are added for vintage sound but suitable for modern players – the bridge position is the Schecter Diamond VT-1 and the neck position holds the Schecter Diamond V-90. The hardware includes a metal-knurled Tone knob with a Series-Parallel Push-Pull control, 3-way pickup selector switch, Graph Tech XL Ivory TUSQ nut and vintage Grover tuners.

The Diamond Series was first introduced in 1998, and consists of all the non-custom, mass-produced Schecter models.
