The basswood body with 6-bolt neck joint provides a solid platform while the rosewood fretboard with 24 extra jumbo frets and the TOM bridge promote sure-fingered playing comfort and super resonance. The Schecter Omen-8 Active has two Carbon Fiber Rods installed next to the Truss Rod for extra stability. Stronger than an equivalent volume of steel, Carbon Fiber can supplement an adjustable truss rod to help prevent neck twisting.
