The new Schecter Jeff Loomis JL-7 FR signature model has many refinements & upgrades over the previous model – premium Swamp Ash body, Set-Neck with Ultra Access and Ultra Thin ‘C’ profile, 26.5” scale length an inch longer than standard and is loaded with the latest EMG 57-7H and 66-7H Active humbuckers in brushed black chrome..

The Schecter Jeff Loomis JL-7 FR features a 3 over 4 headstock with Grover tuners, a Floyd Rose 7-string nut, Maple fretboard with black binding and stainless steel frets, fretboard inlays are the black cross inlays smaller than on other Schecter models, glow-in-the-dark fret markers great for stage, the neck is 3-piece Maple with Walnut reinforcement stripes and has the latest Schecter set-neck construction with what they’re calling Ultra Access – has a deeply scalloped neck joint.

Body is made from Swamp Ash instead of Ash on the previous model which adds a more lightweight & comfortable feel. Controls are just one master volume and a pickup selector typical of metal signature guitars. The bridge is a Floyd Rose 1000 recessed tremolo – South Korean made but uses exact same dimensions & materials as an original Floyd Rose. The pickups are swapped out from the previous model – Jeff Loomis has been using the EMG 707’s but now has the latest & greatest 7-string pickups from EMG the EMG 66-7H in the neck and EMG 57-7H in the bridge.
