New PRS SE Santana 2017 – the third generation of SE guitars in collaboration with Carlos Santana. The original Santana SE was introduced in 2001 as an affordable version of the top end US-made guitars. The 2017 SE Santana is the first guitar in the SE series with a 24-1/2″ scale length and is also the first SE using the same body shape as the American-built PRS Santana models. Plus the classic PRS bird inlays are back making this the closest to the guitar Carlos Santana plays live…

The PRS SE Santana 2017 body is Mahogany with a Flame Maple top – in orange or classic Santana yellow finish. The glued-on Mahogany neck has a Rosewood fingerboard with a fat/wide profile, 24.5” scale length, 24 frets and the trademark bird inlays. The hardware includes six PRS designed tuners, PRS patented vintage style tremolo. The guitar features a pair of SE Santana pickups in the neck and bridge in black and crème zebra style. The pickups are controlled with a single volume and tone control as well as a three-way toggle switch.

“The SE Santana is the SE guitar that started it all. We aimed to build an affordable guitar with quality standards so high Carlos himself could play one on stage. Our dream to honor Santana’s signature tone and style became a reality with the SE Santana. Carlos Santana’s influence as a PRS guitar player led to the development of our SE electric guitar series, which launched in 2001” – PRS
