The Hamer Standard is a visually stunning guitar that aims to recapture their classic metal sound. This Hamer design is the second body shape ever made by Hamer in 1974 and, in essence, is similar to the Hamer USA Standard – an upscale flametop guitar, discontinued in ’85, revived in ’95 and incorporated into Import Series in 1997.
The new Hamer Standard has been updated with a solid Maple cap & figured Maple veneer on a Mahogany body. The set-in neck is also Mahogany with 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, Rosewood fingerboard and an almost flat 15.7″ fretboard radius. The pickups are a pair of Hamer-designed Humbuckers that screams while also providing good treble clarity. An iconic Hamer design, the STD-CS is tastefully treated with a gorgeous Cherry Sunburst flame maple top with crown inlays.
