Hagström introduce the new Metropolis C solid body electric guitar. Features a bolt-on neck with a fingerboard made with Hagström’s “secret-recipe” composite Resinator Tonewood. The pickups borrow from the double Custom 58’C humbucking pickups from the revolutionary Hagstrom Viking Baritone which give the C in the name. The Hagström Metropolis C is a new guitar from Swedish musical instrument manufacturer Hagström and is manufactured in China. The body shape is a flat top single cutaway body made with Empress (Paulownia). The screwed-in Maple neck has a D profile and is equipped with the in-house Resinator Tonewood fingerboard, which is made of laminated Finnish birch and is provided with 22 frets. The truss rod H form (H-Expander) is also a proprietary development of Hagström.
The pickups are matched Custom 58C humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions combined with a 3-way toggle switch and a respective volume and tone pots. The characteristic Hagström headstock has closed tuners in a gear ratio of 15:1. Bridge is a Tune-O-Matic with stop tailpiece. A three-layer pickguard and a Tusq saddle by Graph Tech is installed. The scale length is 25.5 inches or 648 mm. The Hagström Metropolis C is available in the colors Black Gloss, Cream, Italian Red and a left-handed model in Black Gloss. An almost identical version of the single-coil guitar is the Hagström Metropolis S.
