The Gibson Midtown Deluxe is different to most semi-hollow guitars because it is constructed with a solid Mahogany body that has been routed on either side with tone chambering like the modern weight-relief Les Pauls. The AAA Quilt Maple flat Maple top has the F holes cut in to it over the chambering so you get the semi hollow look but with the response of a solidbody guitar.
