Introducing the 2017 Carlino Icarus Series in Korina. 2 years in the making the Carlino Icarus evokes the look of late 1950’s Korina guitars from Gibson. If the Korina Flying V, Explorer and Moderne had a love-child the Icarus would be it. Built-to-order from exotic flamed Korina body and neck, the Icarus has a unique look all its own and comes with the power you expect from custom Seymour Duncan SH1 and SH6 pickups…

The Carlino Icarus features a solid matched 3-piece Korina body and 3-piece Korina neck with a true dovetail neck joint, Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and 24.75″ scale length and a 12″ radius. There is a 2 degree neck angle and a 12 degree head stock angle. The pickups are a pair of gold plated custom Seymour Duncans – SH1 in the neck and SH6 in the bridge position. All hardware is gold. The bridge is Tone Pros locking Tune-o-matic and features an exclusive brass string-through offset V tailpiece and string block at the back. Controls are Volume, Master tone and a 3-way pickup selector. The tuners are Grover 18:1 ratio and feature pearloid buttons. Pickguard comes in black or white multi laminated. The guitar is light coming in at under 7lbs. This is a build-to-order guitar hand-made in the US, takes approx 90 days.
