Ibanez introduce the brand new PGMM31 PGM Mikro (Paul Gilbert Mikro) or miKro as Ibanez like to spell it. The PGM miKro is a smaller body guitar with a short-scale neck – ideal for children, beginners or seasoned pros on the tour bus looking for a compact practice guitar…

The Ibanez PGMM31 miKro was designed in conjunction with Paul Gilbert the shred guitar virtuoso and lead guitarist from Mr Big. The PGMM31 retains the same features from the classic Paul Gilbert PGM signature model including a reversed headstock, a Maple fingerboard, hardtail bridge, simple layout with single volume control and the iconic painted f-holes.

The Ibanez miKro series are small form guitars originally designed for children starting out because they have smaller hands. They’re also targeted at beginners and young rockers, or guitar players looking for a guitar that is easy to transport.

“First guitar I ever played in my life was a short-scale guitar and it helped. When your hands get bigger why not have some extra fun because you can bend these things like crazy. Of course, not only can you bend further with the looser strings you can stretch like crazy. Things become easier – and more fun when you’ve got a guitar like this! I’m going to take the PGM Mikro on the road – I’m having such a good time with these. Whether you’ve got small hands and are starting out or you’ve got big hands like me you’re going to have a great time!”Paul Gilbert
