The pickups are 9-volt active Seymour Duncan Blackouts 8-string AHB-1, like its predecessors: the 6-string and 7-string versions of the Blackouts, but built to direct retrofit nearly all 8-string electric guitars. Perfect for old school metal and new school screamers, especially dark pounding metal that incorporates extreme lows.
