The RG is the most recognizable and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez line. This Iron Label RG model, the RGIT27FE, features a Nitro Wizard-7 7pc Maple/Walnut neck with thru-body construction and an Ebony fretboard. These specs help it achieve a tight low-end sound and a quick response, both of which are needed for today’s metal.

The USA-made EMG 707 active pickups, designed specifically for 7-string, compliment it’s extended frequencey ranges, with lots of clarity and dynamic output, from high to low end. Also, a kill switch provides the player easy access to a manually controlled strobe effect. The Gibraltar Standard II-7 bridge optimally transfers string vibration to the body and is a perfect compliment to it’s neck-thru construction.

The locking tuners add another player-friendly feature as well, helping to stabilize tuning as well as cutting down string-changing time.
