  • I have this guitar, and am very pleased with it. It is lighter than the original Artists of the 70’s and 80’s but it has a great tone. I love the smooth neck-heal; when held in your palm the guitar is well-balanced,( weight-wise ), and the pickup coil-splitting controles are totally awesome. I’ve giged with it-and was blown away by the fullness of it’s sound. And for the money – $650.00 – so totally great ! I spent $1,300 on a Gibson Les Paul last year – and this one is just as good. I also saved $100 on a Sam Ash sale, so – I hit a home run with this one !

The AR 420′ is an excellent Guitar saddles are from Graphtech as well as nut I believe. The 58 humbuckers are excellent mid voiced and very smooth. I bought and sent back 2 Gibsons last year a 50th SB, and a Les Paul custom. Fine scratches in the finish, where the Ibanez far better looking the 420′ looks like the $2,000 guitar mine is 7lbs 13oz excellent weight and very good action locking tuners coil tapping any kind of tone you want. If this were $1,000 it would still be a great buy QC is very good, get over the China thing. You want US custom then give up $2,000 and for $750 sweet water gave me a good wooden case, schalled strap locks and strings The NY Didario great strings installed either 55 point setup inspection. I could not be happier and the Abalone inlays just make it look even better. The best $750 I ever spent!!
