    Controversy raises its ugly head!
I picked up one in desert burst as the price fell once the 2016 line was announced.
Good guitar? Yes (obviously, it is a Gibson)
New for 2015 features? Yes (changes not appreciated by “Les Paul Purest”)
Good Investment? Yes (Any guitar from a famous maker made for only one year will go up in value. Being built in the U.S. only helps)

I am not a fan of change, but when certain changes allows me to purchase a quality instrument that plays and sounds exceptional with the added advantage of being able to purchase this instrument at 50% off the retail price new, then this seems to me to be a “no-brainer”.
