The idea behind DCR (Dean Custom Run) guitars is to give something to the customer that is unique. The new Dean DCR #8 ML Switchblade is a limited edition run only 200 produced worldwide (100 in blue, 100 in black) numbered 1 through 100 on certain select models. 2 years in the making, Dean have never done an ML body shape with the HSH pickup configuration (humbucker – single – humbucker) with a 5-way blade switch. Also features a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo system, long 24-3/4″ scale and a 24 fret dual-octave Ebony fingerboard.

The ML was created by Dean Zelinsky in 1977 with the concept of spreading the mass of the body over a large area, but the ML has something more. Radical string angles is a concept Dean believe adds to resonance that help a guitar become more alive.
